The racing season for 2004 is now put to rest, racing bikes and wheels are hung up and hibernating for the winter. The winter bikes with mudguards are being dusted down once again, as riders prepare to clock up the necessary winter miles, stockpiling the stamina, for the forthcoming year.

Crannog Ireland can reflect on a successful year, with Connor Murphy and Paul Mulligan, the clubs senior A riders, regularly taking wins and high placings in many top events.

Connor Murphy, took many victories, with a stage win in the Tour of the North, A first place at Stamullen, The Meath Grand Prix, The Ulster Road Race Championship and for a 2nd time the Tour of Armagh.
Paul Mulligan took a win in the rain soaked Cookstown Spring Classic in April, and took two second, places in The Newbridge Grandprix, and the Emyvale grandprix .

Veteran Competitor Tony Murphy had an enjoyable season competing in many races, in both the open categories, and the ICVA events.
Gareth McAdam and Dean McCullough were our two underage riders, performed well and consistently in all their events.

The club looks forword to the forthcoming season in 2005, when once again the colours of Crannog Ireland, North Monaghan CC will be visible in races all around Ireland and indeed abroad.

The club will be holding its AGM on Monday 25th October, in the Leisure Centre, Emyvale. New members are welcome to attend. We will also be holding our annual social in the near future.
